Setúbal The Seafood Land – A City of Fish
Since 2012, the Setúbal City Council has been developing a concerted plan to promote and enhance activities related to the sea.
This plan serves as a basis for the development of the catering sector, for the scientific and economic valorization of the fish from the coast of Setubal and for the dissemination of the Sadina identity.
The Setúbal Terra de Peixe brand is a constant presence in tourism promotion actions, namely in gastronomic festivals, workshops, live cooking’s and in a merchandising line.
Gastronomic festivals usually count on the participation of numerous restaurants in the city, taking place at specific times of the year, according to the season of the different species of fish.
